Comedy-a-OhOh

IT'S MIDNIGHT - ONLY DUNDERHEADS ARE SLEEPING

We have this intimate little bar for an hour see, every night, from midnight till one. We invite comedy acts down, all shapes and sizes 'course, to do different stuff from what they're doing in their main show. This could constitute anything from some blarney top stand up doing some forlorn character, or comic acts revelling in much-loved ‘fan-fave' routines of yesteryear, and some such.

It's a sandbox, a place for experimentation and adventure. It'll be well worth making regular visits, as this late night venture will guarantee something new every time. Most of it'll fly. Sure, there'll be a spectacular failure or two, but the key thing is, there'll be stuff that really shouldn't work, which then somehow turns out to be amazing. Stuff no-one has ever seen before. And that's what we reckon the Spirit of the Fringe is all about - a playground for brains. And this is ours - our late night comedarium full of clown fish.

(Dive in, swim about)

All proceedings will take place under the watchful gaze of our resident MC's Tom Price & Matt Holt, hot off the back of the West-End sell-out smash Comedy-a-JoJo.

Resident MC's
Tom Price
Tom is a phenomenally talented comic and our regular MC in rep with Matt Holt. Tom has achieved tremendous acclaim, including a coveted Scotsman Fringe First Award, for his stunning depiction of John Cleese in the Graham Chapman biopic ‘A Very Naughty Boy.' His charming and inventive banter has also taken him to the finals of almost every comedy competition in the land. ‘Crowd-pleasing but with enough twists to satisfy the more discerning comedy connoisseur' Chortle
Matt Holt
Resident compere for 18 months at the massively successful On the Funny Side in Blackfriars, Matt is a rare MC who cares more about audience and atmosphere than simply churning through set material. With a genial yet fearless attitude and a lightning quick comedic brain he makes the perfect host. 'The cream of chortle-worthy talent, very funny, a top laugh' Loaded
