Stewart Lee
That's exactly correct, In case you don't know who he is; he's regarded by peers and audiences alike as a consummate and controversial stand up of wondrous intelligence. He wrote Jerry Springer: the Opera, he also famously was wrote and performed on the hugely popular BBC TV shows, Fist of Fun and This Morning with Richard, Not Judy. Do you honestly need a press quote? Oh go on then:
'He is so sure of his grip on the crowd, which at times was close to hypnotic, that he can stop halfway through a joke to await the doubled wave of laughter that will come when the audience work out the punch-line for themselves. * * * * *' Guardian

Rob Deering
Rob and his glorious guitar (he can play anything) make up one of the best headline double-acts on the circuit! This extraordinarily funny and genial entertainer never fails to deliver a resoundingly entertaining, energetic set. He's been on far more TV shows than can be listed here (he's best known for hosting 99 Things to Do Before You Die) and stormed the last 5 Edinburgh Festivals in a row. Ooh it's shaping up for a good night!
'Truly wonderful stand up' Sunday Times
'An utter delight from start to finish * * * * *' Three Weeks

Sarah Kendall
This gorgeous, side-splitting, Perrier nominated Ozzie is the very first comic to be invited back to play Storm following her fantastic surprise duet of Elton John's 'Tiny Dancer' with Glenn Wool at our very first night, way back in November 2005. This is with good reason: she's an internationally headlining class act and it's simply ludicrous that we have her on this bill alongside Rob and Stewart! To miss her is to miss-take. No, that doesn't really work - basically don't miss this bill for god's sake it may never get this good again!
'Thoughtful, intelligent, subtle, enlightening and... really funny. Kendall has a dry, subtle British-style sense of humour.' Observer

Nick Mohammed
Here's our expert tip for tonight - watch out for Nick! (Preferably at our gig, natch) He has kicked up a huge cloud of golden dust in the past year and it seems inevitable that his follow-up material to last year's surprise Edinburgh smash 'Back in Town Again' will secure him widespread success. Honestly, he opens his mouth and genius pours out!
'A comedy Columbus, finding land that no-one's found before. Gloriously surreal, brilliantly executed...Go see this awesome, exciting talent before he gets on the telly' Three Weeks

This breathtaking Canadian is a hysterical whirlwind of energy that simply cannot be missed!
He has starred (and understudied Christian Slater) in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in the
West End (as well as in Edinburgh and an International tour) and with Bill Bailey in Twelve
Angry Men and The Odd Couple (also starring Alan Davies) in Edinburgh. Last year he won a
Stage Award for Excellence for his astonishing performance in A Zoo Story as well as
incredible acclaim for his solo stand-up show, Nearly Gay. This year he will be taking the
lead in Talk Radio, directed by Stewart Lee.

Sarah Millican
Runner up in this year's BBC Comedy Awards, Sarah is an irresistible softly spoken
Geordie with a shockingly mature set - Alan Bennett, eat your heart out! She has more
than a touch of the Joyce Grenfell's about her and we at Underhand tout her for very,
very big things (so does the rest of the entire comedy industry, mind).
'Assured, accomplished stuff' Chortle
'She had the audience roaring' BBC Tees

Plus live music from wry duo, THE HOLY GOATS, featuring Fergus March who recently completed a year as 'Sky' (the romantic lead) in the West End's world-famous Abba musical, Mamma Mia. Oh and John Worsey, who is a very talented actor, a fine musician and a tremendous wit. But he hasn’t been in any West End shows or anything...yet. |

He's not been doing this long but by gum, he's good at it! A truly unusual stand up,

Sarah Kendall
Perrier Nominee 2004, this Australian beauty is one of the best comediennes in the world
and probably the funniest woman to work the UK circuit in the last five years. She brings
the house down whenever she performs and we are ecstatic to present an act of her peerless
quality. And she is beautiful. Seriously beautiful.
'Thoughtful, intelligent, subtle, enlightening and really funny' Observer

Danielle Ward
Ok she's a minx. But that's okay cos she's just so damned funny she's gotten the whole industry
haggling over her. Her twisted sensibilities and darkly surreal humour, will have you begging
for more. See her, then start following her everywhere. We did.
'Combination of freakishness and humour makes her unforgettable' Chortle
|
 |

Pete Gold
Aaaah, lovely Pete Gold and his guitar. It's been a while since we've presented this glorious
comedian, but suffice to say he's not been idle. Having just completed writing a new hour long
show there's going to be plenty of new songs to enjoy. A JoJo's favourite, it's just so wonderful
to have him back on our stages at last!
'Kept the audience weeping with laughter' The List

Will Smith
No not Hitch, this is the white middle class boy who renders all pop references into pure
fall-off-the-chair funny. He's all over the telly and tickets for his live shows sell
hopelessly fast. He is an entirely appropriate inaugural headliner for us. Chortle's
Best Headliner Winner 2005.
