Comedy @ The Waterfront

For those of you who can't be doing with all that central london nonsense, with all those tourists and what-not, we've gone and sorted you some nice South London giggles, down in Streatham. It's still got that genuine UnderHand Feel Good vibe, and our very own comedy cherub (he so loves that description) Matt Holt. Admittedly we haven't got a logo yet, but we do have line-ups:

01.02.06
Al Pitcher
Kiwi-born funny man Al Pitcher has been stomping all over the UK circuit for the last 5 years and has established himself as one of our finest comic imports of recent years. With two successful Edinburgh Festivals under his belt and a host of accolades to his name this boys star is very much in the ascendance. With his off-beat original material and natural audience rapport Al's a great headline act for any gig and its with great pleasure we welcome him to The Waterfront. Bring it on.
'Gifted, upbeat, hilarious' Metro
'One to watch' The Times
Matt Blaize
The Mr Charisma of stand up comedy - this boys got bucket loads of stage presence combined with a mighty sharp mind making him well worth a look. With a recent appearance on Peep Show under his belt and having been picked out for greatness by Mr Richard Pryor himself, Matt already has all the makings of a comedy superstar. A firm favourite with audiences everywhere.
'Fast talking, hard hitting, watch out for him. He's in hot form.' Time Out
'Totally engaging presence - larger than life, he really fills up the stage and commands the audience - had them wrapped around his little finger.' Richard Pryor
Lee Bannard
It is a rarity to find so much buzz around a new act as there currently is with Lee. From his downbeat stage persona to his startlingly inventive material he is already being pegged as the new Mackenzie Crook. At the end of a year which saw him in virtually every new act final going 2006 should be a very exciting year for Mr Bannard.
'This is a lad who very clearly knows what he's doing. Expect to see him go far' Chortle
